Both slip collar and lead are made from braided  rope which is strong, light weight with good weather resistance. Stainless Steel  or Brass trigger hook  attaches to the slip collar, which slips on over the head. 

For sizing, measure the widest part of your dogs head -around the ears and under the chin.
